Lake Association presents to Stillwater City Council on 6/4/13

We reviewed for the Council what water quality projects have been accomplished and we made some headway in clarifying our goals for future activities which will result in improved water quality in Lily Lake.  In addition, we let the Council know that:

  • We have a viable organization that is set up to communicate with and educate its constituents;

  • While we are primarily focused on the Lily Lake subwatershed, we acknowledge that whatever we do will benefit (or harm) those literally downstream;

  • We appreciated all that has already been done and spent to date

While more work and discussions are needed, I feel we have begun a good working relation with the City and the Washington Conservation District which can move us toward achieving our long term goals of improved water quality in Lily Lake.
