When driving home last Wednesday morning I noticed a bunch of young kids in bright orange T-shirts along with their adult supervisor cleaning around one of the storm drains on Abbott St.
I thanked them profusely once I heard them explain what they are doing... painting signs next to the storm drains on our city streets to remind us not to dump into them, as they (eventually) flow into the river... but before that our beloved Lily Lake! Thank you Pastor Dawn Alitz and all of your youth and adults who helped them in this very beneficial youth service project.
