All being well this project will start in the spring of 2021 and be finished that summer. This would be the last phosphorous-reducing device to be installed to reduce incoming phosphorous. A pre-requisite prior to the lake receiving an alum treatment, encapsulating on the lake bottom any phosporous already in the lake, and enabling our lake to be removed from Minnesota's "Impaired Waters List".
[NOTE: Mainly due to COVID this project's design and bidding was delayed; however, bids were successfully received and the City Council has released their matching funds to enable the project to be built during the summer and fall of 2021, with the alum treatment being applied early spring 2022.]
