City Council voted unanimously to close the Lily Lake beach for swimming for at least the 2013 season. City crews will post five warning signs at Lily Lake by May 15 -- three on the beach, one at the boat landing and another near the pumping station. The signs' language is strong: "Caution. Swimming advisory. Two people have developed fatal Naegleria fowleri infections after swimming in this lake."
